These hose conversion adapters & plunger valve assembly is the minimum required when you upgrades your existing Intex pool filter pump system 1000gph or smaller to any of the more powerful 1500gph, 2500gph or larger pool filter pump. If your pool is 16' in diameter of smaller, you would need this set(2 converters) to adapte to the larger 1.5" ID hose with threaded connection to your 1.25" ID hose connection. Please verified the compatibility of these hose adapters to your pool set, if you do not have an Intex pool set. ***** Not recommended for Intex 4000gph pool filter pump(this is was never designed for pool set w/ less than 52" height sidewall), due to the much higher flow-rate. ****

This conversion kit didn't work well. It began to leak and the fittings were not snug at all. When asking about product return, since the shipping was free, the seller said that he would refund my money but would deduct the actual cost of shipping from the entire cost of the product. If the adapters are $19 with free shipping, THEN YOU RETURN ALL $19 dollars. It is not my fault your product sucks. Then on top of that he said that I would have to pay return shipping, which is fine but when you add it all up, thats $19 - $7.99 he would deduct - $6 my cost of shipping back. All that for $5? Screw this company.What I ended up doing was buying this pump and cutting the liner with a razor blade carefully:http://www.amazon.com/Intex-56633EG-2500-Gallon-Filter-120-Volt/dp/B005QIYMNM/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_topI was able to get this pump on Amazon for $85 when the price had dropped. I upgraded this to my existing 15' X 48" intex Pool. I had to cut out the existing 1-1/4" holes CAREFULLY to 1-1/2" holes to attach the enlarged drainer and output valves. The system comes with 2 1-1/2" hoses and 2 PLUNGERS! For extra precaution, I dropped the water level to under both holes in the liner and used waterproof silicone when attaching the new fittings to the cut holes and have had no problems at all. After a couple of days to allow the silicone to set, I filled up the pool and no leaks. PERFECT! The plungers are awesome in that I don't get wet anymore when cleaning the filter. Being included is an AWESOME bonus. I upgraded from a 1000 GPH pump and can say that the extra flow has kept my pool crystal clear. It really moves the water and produces a flowing current. Up to now, I have no complaints and it is an EXCELLENT upgrade. A+ INTEX!

I have a 14' Intex pool and the filter that came with that is way too small for the the pool. Upgraded my filter and to do this you MUST have these adapters. They work great and do not leak. Have been on almost all summer and never had any problem.

We used these to hook a larger pump to our pool. They worked okay. They had to be put on just right to not leak but once they were on they were good as gold.
