The fitting I received was close, but no cigar!For some reason (I'm sure to save money on 1" of extra plastic) some idiot decided to reduce the lengthof the conned part that goes into the pool receptacle and in doing so insured that it would not stayseated in said receptacle.There was a proper fitting adapter at one time as it is the one that is being used in the photo.See my JPG's of what the part actually looks like and a quick inexpensive way to use your Blue Intexintake fitting and a 1-1/4" double sided plastic barb to do the same thing, but better.P.S. Take you Intex part with you to the plumbing store to make sure it fits correctly over theinternal screen section of the blue fitting. In my case, the straight fitting worked, but a ninetydegree fitting did not. (Go figure)
