You just take it out of the box and hold the outside transmiter on the outside of the pool wall & and put the inside light unit to the inside of the pool wall and the magnet system holds them together and passes the needed elct thru the pool wall. Plug it in and you have a pool that will glow at night, it's the coolest thing. No cutting holes in your pool, no fumbling with return lines. I'm so impressed with this light, worth every penny. I have an Intex 18'X52" pool and it lights it all up.*** IT only works on the soft pools, like shown on the pics on the box.

This pool light works perfectly in my pool. I have an 18x48 round above-ground pool and it lights the whole pool. I thought I would need two, one for each side, but no I did not. It works just as the description told me it would. It is easy to use. The magnet is real strong and there is no problem of it coming loose. Just plug it in, hang it on the side of your pool, and have fun at night. The delivery was very quick and on time. I would recommend this item to anyone with an above-ground pool.....

I actually bought one of these lights off the clearance rack at Big Lots for only 10 bucks. I figured if it didn't work no worries. What a great little light! I have a 13' x 25' x 48" Splash Superpool. This little light illuminates the pool perfectly. The kids are totally enjoying the night swimming. I placed the light near the ladder on the end of the pool. It is fairly bright all the way to the centerline, and then starts to fade toward the far end. The kids like it this way, as they can swim to the "dark side" when they want. We can see the bottom of the pool completely so this makes it safer for the kids at night. It is an LED light, so it should last a long time. I made the mistake of leaving it in the pool over winter, and thought it might be ruined. After cleaning the pool and light to get it ready for this summer, I plugged it in and it worked fine.Very easy to install, 5 minutes from when I took it out of the box.
