It doesn't seem like there's much of a choice in filter pumps when it comes to an Intex Easy Set, but this is a good pump for those pools. I only wish it would last longer.We have an 8 foot Easy Set and this pump keeps the water moving. Make sure you change the cartridges according to the instructions and combine that with some "shock and swim", frequent skimming, and a pool cover and it will look clean and clear for the season. In a pinch, the cartridges are fairly easy to find at larger retailers too.My only complaint is that they don't seem to last long for us. We've had an Intex pool every Summer for the last 4 years and we're on our third pump. Even after routine cleaning and frequent cartridge replacement, it just doesn't want to seem to keep running past 1 - 1.5 Summers.

all plastic inexpensive construction, weak pump motor with virtually no head pressure, need to flush filter often to maintain any circulation and the little motor is a bit loud... but the price was crazy low

Last year we bought a above ground pool that came with the smallest filter I have ever seen. This year we added a salt water system to avoid the chlorine that bleaches everything and makes your eyes red, but the old filter cant keep up, so we bought this one. It's filters are not the best but it really does a great job overall. Just stock up on the filters because mid-July no one has them instock because they are super common.
