This product was a replacement for an existing system that had lost its LED display. It still functioned but I could not read the display. This unit addresses the need for chlorine generation while reducing the need to shock the pool as frequently. It eliminates the need to have chemicals around to service the pool, just large bags of salt. This new unit was only used for a little over a month but performed satisfactorily during that time. The cost of the unit and the programability of it meets my needs. It is much better than spending $600 or more for a unit from another manufacturer.

The only problem I have had with this filter is that it reads "High Salt" occasionally. It is strange though, because one day it will be reading fine, and the next day it will beep at me that there is high salt....only for it to read fine the following day. It is not that big of a deal. I will have to run my regular filter for a few hours by itself, and then the saltwater filter wont read high salt anymore. My pool has been clear for 2 months now.
