I was bumming out because cool weather ended pool season rather abruptly this year, and I really hardly got to use our pool all summer because I was so busy. So I thought I'd try to milk a little more enjoyment out of our pool by getting a pool float that would float you high and dry up out of the water, so I could still lay out, and read a book in the sun even if the pool water was too chilly for me to actually enjoy going in. Well, I got this and blew it up the day it arrived and tried it out. First, you definitely want to use an air pump of some sort. It's just too big to blow up using just your own breath. You'll pass out! LOL. I just used my manual bicycle pump, and while that was a bit of a workout for my arms by the end, it worked just fine.Next, I very carefully transferred myself from the pool deck to the float. You have to take care to step to the center, not onto the edge, obviously, but it's not difficult or dicey. Then I retrieved my book and drink from the "shore" and sat back to relax. OMG - I was in heaven. The air was cool, but the sunshine warmed me right up. My drink fit snugly and safely into the holder in the armrest. The only thing that momentarily broke my relaxation was my neighbors teasing me about how jealous they were at how relaxed and spoiled I looked in my float on such a nice fall day. But that was fun, too. I told them to order one, too, and we could have ladies' resort days in the afternoons once we got our housework done. LOL.Now all I need to do is figure out how to attach a lightweight pool umbrella for those days when I want shade. Or maybe I'll just wear a big, floppy hat or visor. But hey, this float is "da bomb!" Seems pretty durable as it has survived my squeezing it in and out of the doorways to my backyard and my garage where I store it a number of times now. Best $25 I ever spent!

Pretty nice float. It sits up really high out of the water so that makes it nice if you just want to float without getting wet. It is so high though, it's difficultto "paddle" around with your arms. Good for a pool but might be hard to stay in one place in a lake. Seems to be very sturdy (heavy material).

This float is awesome! If the waters too cold you can get in it without touching water, because it's high above the water. The back keeps you perfectly propped up or you can slouch down if you want to. Very thick plastic!
