1500 gal/hr Intex Filter Pump is Recommended for Intex 18' Easy SetTM pools, Frame SetTM pools, Ellipse Oval pools, Rectangular Frame pools and similar sized pools from other manufacturers, or as an upgrade system to your smaller diameter above ground pool, it is double insulated for safety and long life. Installation is very easy - just hook-up the hoses and plug the pump into any 110-120 volt outlet. Conforms to UL/CSA standards. The weight of the pump is 18.3 lbs (8.3kg)

I bought this to replace the crappy pump that comes with the Intex 15' x 48" pool. This is a great upgrade, it has a timer, easier to use, and much more power. The hoses have shut offs to keep you from getting soaked while changing filters. For smaller pools you will need the adapters to hook it to your pool. Get them from the Intex site, much better and cheaper than what I have seen on here. I hooked it to a salt water system and it works great. Be sure to order the filters in bulk on here, it takes the size A filters.

This pump is great...for about 2 months. Yeah, that's right! Not even a full season. You wanna know why? The impeller bushing wears out and then the pump doesn't pump anymore. It's probably only a $.39 item, but it renders the whole unit completely useless! Then, if you're the mechanically inclined type, you can't even get the replacement part from the company. You can buy every other stupid part that will never wear out, but the bushing, which keeps the rotor from contacting the stator, is not available. HOW STUPID IS THAT?Not very stupid from a marketing standpoint, because they just want to sell MORE PUMPS that will crap out after two months!HERE'S MY SUGGESTION...DON'T BUY ANYMORE OF THIS CHINESE CRAP! IF THE INTEX COMPANY WANTS TO SELL THIS DUNG IN THIS COUNTRY, THEY OUGHT TO BACK IT WITH SOME REAL WARRANTY AND PRODUCT SUPPORT!My name is Dave Kendrick and I live in New Jersey, USA, and I will never buy CHINESE @!!$$$&$ AGAIN!!

thanks the filter is great and I love the timer , you can set it and it takes care of it self, you can change the time or run it all the time, great buy a lot better than the one that came with the pool.make sure you order the adapters if you have the intex 15by 48 and they work well too.
